Maori land transactions under Te Ture Whenua Māori Act 1993 – LINZ Guidelines

In today’s email: a very useful guide to the transfer of Maori land.

This is the non-Torrens system land, typically held by tens or even hundreds or thousands of owners and trusts and/or incorporations.

The guide is step by step and aimed at a layperson trying to understand what they need to produce and to whom.  A lot of it will have to be done by their lawyers, but at least this should be an aid to understanding.

Good work from Land Information New Zealand and the Maori Land Court.
